MAAFS Mission Statement
The organization was founded in 1984 and was incorporated in January 1994 as a not-for-profit corporation, within the parameters of Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The purpose of the organization is to provide a statewide mechanism for sharing information, ideas, methods, practices, regulations, that affect fair management operations and that contributes to the best interests of the fair going public. This is accomplished through an annual convention, newsletters, correspondence, sharing of reference library materials and other support services as deemed appropriate.
Membership eligibility is extended to any agricultural related fair, show or exhibition in Maryland with associate membership open to any fair-related support business/industry/organization.
