Junior Scholarship Program

MARYLAND ASSOCIATION OF AGRICULTURAL FAIRS AND SHOWS SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS

The following guidelines have been established for eligibility of $500.00 scholarships offered by the Maryland Association of Agricultural Fairs and Shows (MAAFS).

Applicant must be from a fair, show or festival with current paid membership in the MAAFS organization.
Applicant should be directing their education toward the fair industry, agriculture or related fields.
Applicant must be at least a senior in high school or current enrollee of college, university or trade school.
All applicants must submit a typed or computer generated application and their most recent transcript of grades. Do not send originals as materials will not be returned. If you do not have any of the above, you may substitute three letters of reference from three responsible adults not related to you.
Applications must be received on or before September 15 of the current year to MAAFS , P.O. Box 188, Timonium, MD 21093. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail and announced at the annual convention during the annual meeting. The scholarship will be paid directly to the College, University or trade school of the recipient’s choice.
The criteria will consist of but not limited to:
Accomplishment, achievements, volunteer service, community, church, school involvement, grades and future career plans.
